Weapons

What is weapons?

Train the body. Sharpen the mind. Master the art.

Tiger eyes behind the Korean Academy name

The weapons program takes martial arts training further by teaching the traditional techniques, movements, and discipline associated with martial arts weapons.

Students learn to train with weapons such as the bo staff, nunchaku, and other traditional martial arts weapons, depending on their level and program. Training focuses on proper technique, movement, coordination, control, and respect.

Weapons training is not about promoting violence or teaching students to carry weapons. It is about developing discipline, focus, body control, confidence, and a deeper understanding of martial arts.

It requires concentration, precision, timing, coordination, and control. Students develop focus, coordination and timing, balance and movement, discipline and patience, confidence, control and responsibility, and another dimension of martial arts mastery.

Traditional weapons training has been part of martial arts for centuries. By learning these skills in a structured environment, students gain a greater appreciation for tradition, technique, discipline, and personal growth.

Whether you are a beginner looking for a new challenge or an experienced martial artist wanting to expand your skills, the weapons program is a way to train the body, sharpen the mind, and challenge yourself.
